Flowers Down The Aisle

Since you’ve realized by now that I wasn’t really planning on having flowers at my wedding, one more spot you can usually expect them is tossed down the aisle right before the bride walks down. Since I had to cut out quite a few pages from the ring book, instead of wasting it I bought a heart shaped paper cutter and cut all the extra scraps of paper into hearts to toss down the aisle. Since I didn’t have a ton though, I dried some flowers that a friend had given me and will be mixing the dried flower petals in with the paper hearts.

I also bought this cool metal basket at Michael’s for about $4.00 to put them in.

UPDATE** I ended up not using any of this. Lol sad I know, but in the busy-ness of the wedding day the basket filled with paper hearts got lost, and instead of dried flowers (due to me not knowing much about flowers, not drying them long enough, and them getting moldy…) Tricia had already sprinkled some white flowers down the aisle, and then Genesis, my bridesmaid/ flower girl sprinkled down some blue flowers on top. But hey, be inspired to do something different anyway=)

Ring Book

I wasn’t exactly looking for an alternative to the fluffy white pillow that is carried down the aisle by little boys. I mean, I’m completely ok with my ring having comfort, but, while browsing around I saw a couple different “ DIY ring books” ushttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifed instead of a ring pillow, and I thought it was pretty awesome right away. I love books. I love to read them, write them, and some just look cool. So in search of the perfect book I hit up a couple Goodwill’s and thrift stores, until I came across a book titled “From This Day Forward”, yep, seemed pretty perfect to me. I’m not really going to go into detail how I made a lot of the things I’ve made if I found the idea on another blog, so I will just be attaching the links at the end of my posts.
