I’ve never had a favorite flower, so whenever I tried to think of flowers for my wedding I just couldn’t picture them. Curious as to what other options were out there I started to google one night to see what I could find. One of the first blogs/ sites I came across had these crystal beads that I thought looked kind of cool, but I just glanced over and kept searching. I kept going back to that site though and the more I looked at them the more I liked them. I especially liked the fact that I could make them myself, and although the instructions said it was very time consuming, being months before the wedding, it would give me something to do. I used silver wire, two different shaped clear crystal beads, tiny navy blue beads, and brown ribbon to wrap them in. It did take a lot of time (and I only had to make five! I can’t imagine if I was having a bigger wedding party), but I’m not sure exactly how much time because since I started way in advance I really just worked on them whenever I had free time or got bored.
A couple weeks or so before the wedding, Luke (who never liked my wire crystal bead bouquets=( ) was talking about flowers and mentioned having a bouquet of real flowers. I was like, "welllll I've been working on these forever and I really like them now.." But the more I thought about it, I wondered about putting both ideas together.. So I told Luke, Luke told Katie (his girlfriend), and Katie told Tricia (Katie's mom). Next thing I know, Tricia stopped by my work to show me what she had come up with, this crazy awesome bouquet!
Everyone knows I've never been in love with flowers like some girls, and I never thought I could love flowers so much, but, Tricia has changed my mind more than once.
So the finished product.. My crystal beads strung on silver wire, mixed in with her white and brown flowers (and no, I don't even know what kind they were.. hah). Amazing!!
